To follow the blog, clicking 'Follow' at the very top bar isn't enough?
Sorry for the confusion, I'm new to blogger. :(
Cass, thats a good question. I wonder that myself. The last few blogs I wanted to follow, I clicked Follow at the top left corner, but then I noticed that they were not on my blog roll and they didn't show up on the list to add. So I went back to those blogs and clicked Join this Site, and then they appeared on the list. It was weird and I don't know if that is like that for everyone or if its just because my blog is in transition from moving to my own domain. ???
So I would say just click JOIN THIS SITE to be on the safe side and double check. I don't want anyone to miss out if I pick their name and they aren't actually following. I will be checking THAT list to see if your name is on it when I pick the winners.

I get confused about this because not every blog has both a follow button at the top in addition to the 'Join this Site' box, so I've just been clicking whichever I can find.

i'm the same as emma... i'm not seeing the "join the site" thing for GFC on your sidebar... i see "traceface followers" but i don't see the box below it.. but i've followed you by clicking the top bar forever ago :/

The 'Join this Site' is on the right side of the page under the heading 'TRACE FACE FOLLOWERS'. It should show a little grid of followers' icons underneath. If the space under that header is empty, try refreshing the page.

I don't think you NEED to click "join this site" if you followed via blogger - I just tried it now, and it shows me as logged in in the GFC window thing but your number of followers didn't go up by one...so I think you SHOULD be safe if you follow via blogger. :)
