In my Barry M Indigo post I mentioned that there would be a sweet layering combo posted soon after. Well folks, here it is!
This is why I had to cheat on my "nothing but Halloween themed polishes". Deborah Lippmann Stairway to Heaven was sitting next to me on my desk "stairing" at me. It was calling out my name begging me to use it. Sitting next to it was the Barry M Indigo, and the two of them looked so pretty side by side. I thought they would look very nice together.
Stairway to Heaven is a white base with opalescent glitter in two sizes. It has blue squares and pink hexagons. The base is a bit on the thick side, well mine was anyways. Although I would much rather have a thick-based glitter than a runny one! Application was a bit tricky because of it. The glitter clumped up in areas and it was a little hard to spread out evenly. It's so beautiful that I did not care LOL. I LOVE this polish and I still would recommend it. Normally I am a bit of a DL snob. I think her polishes are a little overpriced. Especially the glitters. Most of them can only be used for layering and $18-20 is a bit much for a layering polish IMO. Oh who am I kidding, I have spent much more on a dang bottle of nail polish! HAHA! Nevertheless, they are beautiful and you can tell they are of a higher quality. Luckily for those of us who are cheap, there have been more affordable dupes hit the market lately. Hooray for that! Anyways, if you are a DL snob like me, or just too dang poor to afford to buy her stuff, I would honestly say, if you were to ever buy a DL nail polish, this is the one worth getting.
