ZOMG OPI SILVER SHATTER and Zoya Juno!!! (pic heavy)

Sunlight...

Zoya Juno is from my Zoya Earth Day Exchange order. It looks gorgeous in the bottle with its duochrome flash. You can see green and blue in the corners of the bottle. I was hoping to see some of this on the nail, but I had a feeling I wouldnt. I was right.

The formula is great. It goes on evenly and smoothly, I only used 2 coats. Its a beautiful shade of purple, I love Juno even though it lied to me about its duochromeness. LOL

Artificial light... Not sure why the coloring is off here.

OPI Midnight Blue Glitter!

I recently picked up this one from Joy's BLOG SALE. I have never heard of it before, so I figured it must be a HTF, and it looked pretty unique so I just HAD to have it lol.

Midnight Blue Glitter is a gunmetal color, with bits of royal blue flecks all over. I would almost consider this a total glitter polish, especially by seeing that first coat. Speaking of that first coat, it was pretty sad, I almost thought I would have to layer it over another color. But it turns out, 3 coats did the trick!

I topped it off with a coat of INM Out the Door Top Coat.

The photos are all under artificial light, as I completed the mani in the evening. I imagine it would look pretty much the same in sunlight anyways. As always, photos are clickable to view larger. Enjoy!!

Crackle layering!

This is an add-on to my Absolutely Alice mani I showed you earlier this month. Crackle layering, have you tried it yet?? I originally applied the Crackle Lightning Bolt in a criss-cross pattern, and then the Crackle Fault Line going up and down for some variation. If you dont do this, the cracks tend to fall into the same pattern, which is what happened with my thumbs. I did that as a comparison.

Original mani was 2 coats of AA, followed by 1 coat of Seche Dry Fast, 1 coat LB followed by 1 more coat of Seche Dry Fast. I added 1 coat China Glaze Fault Line, with one more coat of Seche Dry Fast.

Nubar Jewel!

Ooooh Nubar holo time! Nubar Jewel is part of their Prisms Collection. It is a neutral shade, a light brown color with scattered holographic glitter. This one was hard to photograph! My pictures are unfortunately disappointing IMO. Jewel looks much better in person, trust me!

I used 2 coats, topped with Color Club 0-60 Speedy Top Coat. It has a nice formula which applies well and it dries relatively quickly. Once dry, it has a bumpy texture (from the glitter) on the nail. It is not smooth to the touch with only one layer of top coat. I added another layer of top coat to a nail to see if it made it smoother and it did. Maybe with a thicker top coat like Seche Vite it wouldnt be so noticeable. The color is drab when not in sunlight or under artificial light. But that is to be expected with a holographic polish. You can see white flecks in the brown which reminds me of the newer OPI My Private Jet.

Enjoy the photos, as always they are clickable to view larger! :-)

Essie Wild Thing!

I have a ton of Essie polishes, and need to start swatching them! I have noticed that so far I have been favoring OPI, shame on me! Essie is just as great, but kinda overlooked.

Something else about me, I have tooo manyyyy red and pink polishes!! I prefer bold and unusual colors, I dont know how I ended up with so many shades of red and pink...ewww. But I have to remember, if I ever do become a licensed nail tech, red and pink are popular with most ladies, and I can use those polishes on them haha. And I am sure not everyone who reads my blog is as bold and unusual as me, so just because I prefer a bright yellow polish doesnt mean everyone else would. LOL

I bought this Essie at Bed Bath and Beyond. They have a GREAT selection of Essie, even some of the harder to find retired colors. From what I understand, this color is from the Winter 2006 collection. Score!!

Wild Thing is a cranberry red color with scattered silver and holographic glitter. It looks FAB in the bottle, but the glitter kinda gets lost when on the nail. You may see a fleck here and there once it dries, but overall the glitter is disappointing. The wear is great on this polish, and its a fun one, with a more traditional color but with a hint of glitter to keep things interesting. It also looks much nicer in sunlight! The glitter is sort of hard to photograph, which is typical. I took lots of photos to try and capture it.

As always, photos are clickable to view larger. :-) Enjoy!!
