Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie!

OMG do I have a special post for you today! A long time lemming of mine has been killed. I never thought I would see the day! Drumroll please.....

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie!!

OMG YES! Pinch me, am I dreaming?!

Scrangie was brought back by Rescue Beauty Lounge just the other week as part of their BIB2 (Bring It Back 2). Six retired shades returned to their site for a limited time. Originally, Scrangie was released in 2009 as part of the Blogger series; this was actually designed by the beauty blogger we know named Scrangie! How cool is that?! She has excellent taste, this is a beautiful polish. Much more beautiful in person I must say! I am thrilled to finally have a bottle of it! Click HERE to see Scrangie's original post on it! Scrangie is a purple polish with a gorgeous blue shimmer. It almost looks like a duochrome on the nail. In my close ups, you will see what appears to be glass flecks! OOOH!! Scrangie was a bit on the sheer side, I used 3 coats for full opacity. This polish applied flawlessly and dried quickly. I might need another bottle...

ACK! Get ready to drool some more with a close up!!

Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie retails for $18 and can be purchased at rescuebeauty.com. Keep in mind this is not a current color and is available for a limited time only. I am not sure how many are left, but once they sell out, that's it! Now is your chance!! Don't walk, RUN!! LOL

Also check out Rescue Beauty on Facebook! Tell them I sent you! :-)

Glitter Gal H724 Frappe!

Hello dear readers! Happy Monday! (yuk I hate Mondays) I apologize for my lack of activity on my blog and on my Facebook page lately. This time of year is super busy at work, they have us doing all sorts of crazy overtime hours. I am working 6 day weeks so my free time is scarce. I have a lot to do during my "off hours", which usually means no sitting online! I appreciate your understanding that I am not able to post as often or be as active online. I am doing my best to still paint my nails when I can and post as often as possible. Bear with me, things will calm down after the holidays! :-)

Today I want to show you Glitter Gal Frappe. Frappe is a delicate pink holo that I cannot stop staring at! Even though it is light in color, the holo still packs a punch! These Glitter Gal 3D holos keep on making me drool, they are all so gorgeous. As always, formula is fabulous, no complaints whatsoever. I just love them, they are my absolute favorite brand of holos on the market now.

3 coats, no top coat. Artificial light, no flash.

Gotta love my close ups!

Aunt Sue and G!

YAY!! Aunt Sue's nails are back! Did you miss her? She missed being on her favorite niece's blog, that's for sure! Total sibling rivalry going on lately with her and Momz LOL! Today was Thanksgiving, so I got to see her and do her nails after we pigged out. Sue wanted a "dog themed" mani this time, she opted for bones and pawprints. I suggested also painting her German Shepherd, Greta (we call her G for short) on one nail. What the heck was I thinking! The bones and paw prints were a cake walk, but G was not easy to do OMG! I planned on putting her on Sue's ring fingernail, but spaced it while I was in my "groove" doing the paws and bones. So we put her on a thumbnail LOL! Overall, I think this is a super cute mani despite the shakes from my PUMPKIN Dunkin Donuts iced coffee (YUM) and the challenge that is German Shepherd nail art! Check it out!!

PS: We took these right after I drowned her nails in quick dry drops LOL so nevermind the shininess around her cuticles! ;-)

Here is the photo of G I used:

And here is what we ended up with! LOL! I screwed up on the eyes, but otherwise I think it looks OK. Sue says it looks like a crazed cracked-out G! LMAO!!

What do you think?

Thanksgiving Feast Nails!

YAY! Thanksgiving is here! It's my favorite holiday!! Why? Because of FOOD of course! LOL Well, that and FAMILY TIME! I absolutely LOVE to pig out on the fabulous food my Memmy makes. She is the world's greatest cook, I am so thankful to have her as my Memmy. She is 77 years old and still kicking butt! I have been salivating all day thinking about the delectable noms she will have for us tomorrow! What better way to show what's on my mind than to do some Thanksgiving feast nails!!

When I planned this out in my head, it made perfect sense and I anticipated it to be quite easy. LOL WRONG!! This most certainly challenged my skills! Well, it didn't help matters that I only used Essence Colour & Go polishes! I have appx 25 of them, but only about half were color-appropriate! I ended up using 14 different colors! HOLY MOLY!

I decided not to use top coat this time, I really like the fine detail and I think Seche Vite would have smooshed it! It was also hard to "pose" for these photos because I did the designs sideways. I rotated the photos all different ways so you wouldn't have to keep turning your head LOL. See how thoughtful I am!

OPI Turkey Nails!

Can I tell you a secret....? I am really getting into nail art! I know, I know. Who would have thunk it?! I am getting better at it, and I feel my creative juices flowing LOL. I am not sure if I am ready for posting tutorials yet, but I can see it as a possibility down the road.

Today I want to show you my OPI Turkeys! Yes, I challenged myself yet again by doing nail art with only one brand, and this time I chose OPI. I used a total of 8 different OPI polishes for this design. Again, I just kinda "winged it" (LOL, get it? WINGed the Turkey mani?!). I took before and after top coat comparison photos. Check it out!

Nails Inc Houses of Parliament!

Oh yeaz I have a pretty awesome polish to show you today! But I forgot to wrap my tips, SHH don't tell anybody! I was too focused on getting the magnet effect right LOL!

Yes, that's right, its Nails Inc Houses of Parliament! Purple magnetic polish! Let me just say, YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE! It was so easy to use, and the results are fantastic! I have previously tried LCN magnetic polish, and THEY SUCK compared to this one! I didn't read the directions for Houses of Parliament, I just winged it, and look at how awesome my nails are! LOL I applied one coat to all of my nails, gave it a couple of minutes to dry. Then I applied a second coat to one nail and held the magnet over it for maybe 30 seconds. Then I went on to the next nail etc. These photos are without top coat, but I applied it later and it did not affect the magnet design. I really enjoyed wearing this polish, I would love to get the other colors!

Now for a close up!

Magnetic Polish close up is pretty interesting, if I do say so myself! LOL

What do you think? Have you tried this brand of magnetics yet?

Nails Inc Houses of Parliament retails for $16 on sephora.com and £13 on the Nails Inc website.
