Hello! My friend Aleta from The Nail Junkie recently announced 4 brand new polishes that are Halloween themed! How exciting!! Included in this collection are: Candy Corn, Pumpkin, Frankenstein and Black Cat.
Artificial light, no flash.
First let's take a look at Candy Corn! It has a sheer white base with orange and yellow hex glitters. I layered mine over white although the base is buildable and can be worn alone. This is two coats of Candy Corn over OPI Alpine Snow, with topcoat.
Next is Pumpkin, a shimmery orange polish with green glitter. Pumpkin has a great formula and applied well. I applied two coats even though one would be sufficient! These photos are with topcoat.
Frankenstein is a swampy shade of green that has a jelly-like consistency and a golden shimmer. The glitter is not as dense, which I think is nice. It also applied well, this is two coats with topcoat.
Last but not least is Black Cat, a sheer black jelly with several sizes of black hex and holographic microglitter. This one can be worn on its own or layered over another polish. I chose to wear it alone so I needed three coats. I recommend applying thinner coats to avoid pooling at the sides. These photos are with topcoat.
What do you think of this collection? Frankenstein is my favorite, with Candy Corn and Pumpkin in a tie for second. My least favorite is Black Cat, I am generally not a fan of black polishes... or cats lol. Dogs rule, cats drool!! ;-p
