Zoya Codie and Opal!

Helloooooo party people!!!!! It's post #2 of my Zoya Fleck Effect Collection combos! This time I have Zoya Codie and Opal for your viewing pleasure!

Zoya describes Codie as, "a blackened espresso brown creme with subtle olive undertones. Great for when you want something dark and dramatic, but not black." I am actually pleasantly surprised by Codie. It was the one color in the Smoke and Mirrors Collection that I was intimidated by. It just seemed so dark and I thought it wouldn't look right on me. Turns out though, Codie is a beautiful dark chocolate brown creme. I really like the color and I think it would look nice on many skin tones. I thought Codie would be a great match for Opal. Codie is naturally shiny, but definitely needs topcoat to look her best. I didn't apply top coat for these photos and you can see Codie does not look smooth.

ACK! Needs topcoat plz! LOL

Then I added one coat of Zoya Opal. Zoya describes Opal as, "a sheer green base with reflective Mylar flakies that shift from bright green to blue. A fun flake glitter topcoat that can be layered over any shade to create a fascinating 3D effect." I had great results with Opal. I think the amount of flake that ends up on the nail is just perfect! I absolutely LOVE this combo and REALLY love the color change of these flakies! As Borat would say "WOWEE-WA-WA!!" Very cool Zoya! Thumbs up!! Opal also dries smooth and shiny WOOHOO!

Zoya Anja and Chloe!

Hello again! I will be showing you the Zoya Fleck Effect Collection over the next 3 posts. I decided to split them up into separate posts and include the base color in each one. I saw a lot of other bloggers layering the Fleck Effects over black, or over the Zoya True Collection. I decided to go with 3 of the Zoya Smoke & Mirrors Collection instead. I thought these cremes would compliment the Fleck Effects better. I hope you like the combos I chose!

For Chloe, I went with Anja for the base color. Anja is described by Zoya as, "a rich, deep vampy red-toned wine purple with a glossy creme finish. This vampy shade is both sexy and elegant." There is actually a teeny bit of shimmer in Anja. I only noticed it while applying the first coat though. Anyone else notice that? Anja has the perfect formula and covers nicely with two coats. I went without top coat for these photos so you can see the natural shine of each.

Then I added one coat of Chloe. Zoya describes Chloe as, "a sheer coral pink base with two types of duochrome Mylar flakes: red-orange and gold-green to blue. A fun flake glitter topcoat that can be layered over any shade to create a fascinating 3D effect." I am impressed with the amount of flakies that end up on the nail with just one coat. I like how Chloe has multiple color flakes. It dries naturally glossy and smooth.

Ozotic 513!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Bleh on Mondays! LOL Here is a post I almost forgot all about! I wore this polish over a week ago OOPS!!

Check it out! This is Ozotic 513!! Oooooh purple holo goodness!! I really have to hand it to Ozotic on this one. It's super pigmented and super holographic. I seriously could not take my eyes off of my nails. So distracting! AND it was sunny that day! OMG Another great thing about this polish is that you can use any base/top coat and the holo is not affected. Sooo many colors of the rainbow on my nails... DROOOOOL!

Ozotic 513 retails for $14 if you buy direct from piCture pOlish. Unfortunately, it is very expensive for piCture pOlish to ship outside of Australia. I would recommend purchasing through a piCture pOlish reseller, like Harlow & Co. If you do not see a specific color available that you are interested in, they may be able to still get it for you.

NerdLacquer All of Time and Space!

OMGoodness!! My very first NerdLacquer!! It's a dream come true!!

If you haven't heard about NerdLacquer yet, please lift up the rock you've been living under and take a LOOK HERE! Holy smokes, Amanda (NerdLacquer creator) is so talented! She has so many amazing polishes to choose from and they are ALL NERD RELATED!! Now, I must not be a nerd because I have no idea what any of the names mean. Good thing I have my trusty sidekick Google to help me out! Apparently, many of them have to do with Doctor Who. Who is Doctor Who you ask? Hmmm I have vague memories as a child, Momz used to watch it and the show would freak me out! There was one episode where there were like pod people or something in this spaceship. I have no idea what I am talking about BTW...

NerdLacquer All of Time and Space... I love the name. It almost sounds romantic! I can see it now... the man of my dreams (is he a NERD?), on one knee...proposing his love to me... he says, "Oh Traci, I will love you for all of time and space." LMAO omg! *snaps back to reality* Ok, serious time now! All of Time and Space also has a beautiful color combination. I knew I had to have this polish! It has a minty green base with mainly silver and fuchsia glitter in two different sizes. There is a kick-butt silver shimmer as well as scattered teeny blue glitter. I decided to layer it over Zoya Bevin (which is close in color) because I wanted to CONSERVE my romantic nerd fantasy polish! This is two coats over Bevin, which was also two coats. I followed up with a coat of CND Air Dry. AOTAS applied perfectly, I am very impressed. I have my second order being "created" now, it should be shipping soon. I plan on placing another order next week! I LOVE THIS POLISH!!!!!

"All of time and space, everything that ever happened or ever will. One question, where do you want to start?" -Doctor Who

(sounds romantic, but it turns out he's talking about time travel lol)

NerdLacquer All of Time and Space retails for $8 and can be purchased from the NerdLacquer Etsy shop. Amanda is feverishly working to fill the loads of orders she has received, and she will be restocking soon! Keep checking her shop for more items to be added. In the meantime, if there is something you want but don't see, you can request a custom order.

Harlow & Co also carries NerdLacquer for $10 each. They will also be restocking soon! Keep your eye out for updates on the Harlow & Co Facebook page. These nerdy polishes go fast!!

Orly 25th Anniversary Limited Edition 24kt Gold and Sterling Silver Duo!

YAY its FRIDAY!! Here is a quickie post to show you the Orly LE duo from my latest haul. Many of you have asked to see these swatched, so I decided to do quickie skittles! I must apologize in advance... the base coat I used is almost empty and getting thick. It caused some bubble bumps! YUK! So it's totally my base coat's fault, NOT the poor Orlys! LOL Other than the bumps, application was nice. This is 3 coats of each, without top coat. I would say these are your typical silver and gold polishes, except for the bits of REAL GOLD and SILVER inside ooooooh!!!! Very elegant bottles too!

Artificial light, no flash.

OOPSIE someone forgot to wrap her tips!!

EEK bubbles!!

Ewww 24K needs some OXY treatment! LOL

What do you think of this duo?
(besides the bubbles *shakes fist at base coat*)

As mentioned in my haul post, I purchased this set from ebay. HERE is the link, the seller currently has 2 sets available, selling for $18.99 with free shipping. There are a couple single bottles offered too, for $11.99 each (plus free shipping). I don't know much about the set other than they are from the year 2000.

Misa Embroidered Emerald!

HOLY MOLY! Today was a crazy day for The Trace Face Philes! Zoya shared my Zoya Feel Giveaway on their Facebook page and I gained a ton of new followers! *waves* HI EVERYONE!! WELCOME!!! Also today, Joy tweeted my ManGlaze Santorum post to Dan Savage, the creator of Spreading Santorum. He re-tweeted it and OMG my stats have BLOWN UP!! Thank you so much Joy and Dan, for sharing my post 'round the Tweet-es-phere! I also announced yet another giveaway, and it seems as though these milestones are moving so fast, it's very likely you will see my 3000 Follower Giveaway soon! Oh my! *waves again*

For now I want to show you one of the fabulous Misa polishes I bought last weekend. It's an oldie, so I am going to apologize in advance that it may be extremely HTF. I am honestly not familiar with Misa, but I knew I found something special. The label on the bottom is completely different from the others I bought. I went to the Misa Facebook page and asked them what year/collection it is from. They responded quickly and said the Tapestry Collection from 2001! Yes, this polish is 11 years old OMG!

Embroidered Emerald is a brick red polish with a green frost shimmer. It is absolutely stunning in the bottle. I am noticing that Misa has some killer shimmers BTW! I can't wait to try more of them! Anyways, it did tend to be a bit sheer on the nail, I ended up applying 3 coats. The brush and application were great, as well as dry time. It does have a strong smell, which is probably because it's an older non 3 Free polish. I did not apply top coat for these photos, and ended up getting a bump on the tip of my middle fingernail. OOPS lol.

Artificial light, no flash.

I wondered what Embroidered Emerald would look like over black, so I broke out the nail wheel and tried it out...

!!OMG GORGEOUS!!

I really love this polish, I think it looks amazing both ways.
