Lacquistry Valentine Shredded!

Happy Sunday! Yes, I added something seriously awesome to piCture pOlish Honeydew...

THIS IS Lacquistry Valentine Shredded!!! It's an amazing polish, just imagine pink holo glitter on steroids. Valentine Shredded has a clear base packed full of pink shards, some of which are holographic! I thought Honeydew would be a perfect base color for it. (And I was right hee hee!) This combo is stunning, I SO enjoyed wearing it! I received lots of compliments too! I was impressed with how nicely the shards applied and spread apart. For the most part, they do lay flat against the nail. I recommend using a thick topcoat like Seche Vite and adding Gelous or Glitter Tamer if you have it. This is two coats of Valentine Shredded followed by Glitter Tamer and Seche Vite.

So.... what do you think of this combo??

Lacquistry Valentine Shredded retails for $7.50 and can be purchased from the Lacquistry Etsy shop. Lacquistry is currently catching up on orders but will be back soon!

piCture pOlish Honeydew!

Oh my gawd it's time for a drool worthy creme...

Who doesn't love honeydew melon?! It reminds me of my Memmy, she always has some at her house in summertime. I love honeydew more than cantaloupe and watermelon, it is my favorite! Mmmm mouth watering at the thought... Anyways, today I have piCture pOlish Honeydew to show you. I am in love with this color, its so perfect. It's definitely one of my favorite cremes of all time. The application was a little less than perfect though. It tends to apply unevenly, so I recommend 2 thick coats or 3 thin ones. Top coat is also necessary to smooth it out. This is 3 coats followed up with CND Air Dry. Dry time wasn't too bad and the final result is worth the tricky application. Just wait until you see what I add to this beauty...

Cult Nails Baker!

Hi! Today I have one of the new polishes from the Cult Nails Let's Get Nekkid Collection to show you.

I took advantage of the pre-order for this collection and I am so glad I did. The price was great and I love the meaning behind the polishes. Maria created each one of the nudes to represent people in her family. Nude polishes are a new-found love of mine, I used to think they were pointless. Now I enjoy the different "shades" of nude. I like to see how it "matches or clashes" with my skin. I chose to wear Baker first. In the bottle it looked pretty close to my own skin color, just a tad darker. When I applied it I realized its actually much darker than I expected and more yellow-gold toned. It also looked different on me under different light. Sometimes more matchy, sometimes more clashy... is clashy even a word? Well now it is! LOL Regardless, I still enjoyed wearing it. So much that I kept it on for 3 whole days! I only had one teeny chip too. YAY!

Baker had a perfect application and super fast dry time. Coverage is great with only two coats. Of course I love the shimmer too!

Cult Nails Baker also reminds me of this...
Anyone else?

Cult Nails Baker retails for $10 and can be purchased from cultnails.com. There are 3 other great nudes in the Let's Get Nekkid Collection, as well as an oddball green that has glitter and flakies.

Once they reach 5,000 Facebook Likes they will be having a $5 sale!

Nostalgic Rio!

The 4th polish from the Nostalgic Nail Lacquer Truly Outrageous Collection is Rio!

Rio has a clear base that is loosely packed with blue and purple glitters in different sizes of hex shape. Rio had the least amount of glitter on the nail so I applied two coats. Again, I layered over OPI Black Onyx followed by Models Own 3 in 1.

Which ones are your favorites from this collection?

Nostalgic Rio and the rest of the Truly Outrageous Collection are available to purchase from the Nostalgic Nail Lacquer Etsy shop for $9 each, or the set of 4 for $36. These beauties sell out fast, don't miss out!!

Nostalgic Pizzazz!

Here is the third polish from the Nostalgic Nail Lacquer Truly Outrageous Collection... Pizzazz!

Pizzazz has a clear base with loosely packed glitter in shades of green which are in square and hex shaped. There is a good amount of glitter that ends up on the nail. It also spreads out nicely and dries shiny. This is one coat layered over OPI Black Onyx followed by Models Own 3 in 1.

Nostalgic Pizzazz will be restocked tomorrow in the Nostalgic Nail Lacquer Etsy shop. Be sure to stop by! The other Nostalgic Collections should be available as well.

Nostalgic Riot!

Next from the Nostalgic Truly Outrageous Collection is Riot!

Riot has a clear base loosely packed with orange and white glitter in bar and hex shapes. I also layered it over black to see the glitter well. The glitter in Riot spreads out well and it dries shiny. This is one coat of Riot over OPI Black Onyx followed by Models Own 3 in 1.

What do you think of this collection so far?

I have two more polishes from the Nostalgic Truly Outrageous Collection to show you. They can be purchased from the Nostalgic Nail Lacquer Etsy shop, which will be restocked tomorrow.

Stay tuned for Rio and Pizzazz!!

Nostalgic Jem!

Hello friends! I have the latest collection from Nostalgic Nail Lacquer to show you!

One of the best things about Nostalgic is the 80's references. So far all 3 collections have reminded me of my childhood. The newest collection, called Truly Outrageous is no exception. What little girl in the 80's didn't LOVE the cartoon Jem?! I know I did LOL. I still get the song in my head every time I hear the words "truly outrageous"...

Jem has a clear base with loosely packed glitter in shades of pink, purple and white. I layered it over black so you can see the glitter better. It's naturally shiny, but I did add top coat to help speed up dry time. This is one coat of Jem over OPI Black Onyx followed by Models Own 3 in 1.

I will be showing you the other 3 from this collection in my next few posts. The Truly Outrageous Collection is available at the Nostalgic Nail Lacquer Etsy shop. Erin will be restocking on Friday 2/24. Be sure to check back then as she usually sells out quickly.

Golden Rose Matte Velvet 101!

Hellooooo awesome readers of mine! Time for a random polish post!

I have quite a few polishes by Golden Rose but haven't tried any of them! Shame on me! So I pulled out the odd ball of the bunch... a Matte Velvet that I received from one of my international swaps. This is 101, which is a light blue polish with a satin finish. I was pleasantly surprised with its formula and application. I was expecting it to be "cheap" in quality since Golden Rose is an inexpensive brand. 101 applied perfectly, this is two coats without topcoat. It dried relatively quickly too. I really enjoyed wearing this.

Golden Rose is a tricky brand. Their availability with collections varies between countries. I received this polish from Kati in The Netherlands. There are 10 colors in this collection: 101-110. I am not sure on the retail price for these. There are several Golden Rose websites, click HERE for the USA site.

NerdLacquer The Selfish Green!

Hi there! Here is the last of the NerdCrush Trio.... The Selfish Green.

The Selfish Green is an olive green polish with a blue-purple color shifting shimmer and silver and green glitter. It is very pigmented, no layering necessary. The glitter is a little easier to see with this one. I think a little more ended up on the nail this time too. I am loving the shimmer, it's my favorite thing about it. This is two coats followed by CND Air Dry.
