Polished Perfection Satellite of Love!

Hi again! In my last post I showed you Polished Perfection Sucker. While wearing it I decided to jazz it up a bit. I thought Polished Perfection Satellite of Love would compliment it nicely. I tried a reversed gradient this time. It was pretty easy to apply, although I was doing the "dab method". Unfortunately when I added Glitter Tamer, a crap load of bubbles appeared. GRRR!! I am sorry about that! There is no hiding from my camera! Hopefully you will still enjoy this combo minus the eye-sore of bubbling!

Artificial light, no flash.

I apologize for the bubbles. Apparently my Glitter Tamer is starting to suck!

Polished Perfection Sucker!

FINALLY a post from me! Sheesh!! Sorry about that! I had a long holiday weekend and wasn't really online much. Happy Belated Memorial Day to my U.S. readers! I hope you all had a nice weekend. Back to work now, blech!

Today I want to show you a polish I received from Courtney at Polished Perfection. This is Sucker, a shimmery hot pink with green flakies. I absolutely love it! Application was great, I had no issues. I am very happy with the amount of flakes on the nail. They are even more noticeable in daylight, I apologize that I did not get any outdoor photos for you. This is two coats with topcoat.

Darling Diva Polish Rainbow Bridge!

Previously I showed you Zoya Tao and mentioned I would be adding something to it. Drumroll please...

Check out Darling Diva Polish Rainbow Bridge! If you are an animal lover like me, you may be familiar with the Rainbow Bridge poem. If not, definitely look it up! But get some tissues ready before you read it! Anyhoo... Rainbow Bridge has a murky grey shimmer base packed full of red hearts and holographic glitter. I had no issues with application and the a decent amount of glitter (including hearts) ended up on the nail. I applied two coats followed by topcoat.

Fever Lacquer Oh Chariot Your Golden Waves!

HI everyone! I have another Fever Lacquer to show you! This is one of Casandra's newest colors, Oh Chariot Your Golden Waves. It has a shimmery gold base that has a pink flash and has scattered holo glitter. I found thinner coats worked best when applying. I think the amount of glitter that ended up on the nail was decent. It gives it a unique look without letting the glitter overpower the base. This is two coats without topcoat.

Zoya Tao!

Hi there! I have another layering combo in mind for you. First is the base color I used, Zoya Tao.

Zoya Tao is part of the Smoke & Mirrors Collection which was released last Fall. Zoya describes Tao as, "a light smoke grey with blue undertones and a muted, softened metallic finish. A cool metallic machine shade for a soft rock'n'roll look." I think Zoya is always spot-on with their descriptions. Tao has a great formula, I had no issues with application. Brush marks were minimal. This is two coats with topcoat.

Pretty and Polished Sand Art!

Previously I showed you Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqua Lily. Before taking it off I added Pretty & Polished Sand Art. If you look closely you can see my tip wear on Aqua Lily LOL. I am happy to report I wore it for several days without any chips! Hooray for Aqua Lily!

My Sand Art looks different than the photo used on the Etsy listing. I checked with a few of my friends and the coloring of my bottle varies from theirs as well. I have heard about inconsistencies with Pretty & Polished's polishes previously and it made me hesitant of purchasing any. Good news is I actually prefer the coloring of my bottle! I really enjoy the look of matte glitter polishes. They can be a royal B to take off, but they wear long LOL! Sand Art was easy enough to apply, although I would prefer it had a little more glitter vs base. What you see here is two coats followed by topcoat.

Enchanted Polish Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds + Candy Lacquer Love Letters!

HI there! I want to show you a gorgeous combo using two of my favorite indie brands!

First, for my base color I used Enchanted Polish Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. This is an off-white to silver colored linear holo with a metallic flash that changes from pink to green. It covers well with just one coat. I used two for good measure though! Application is perfect, I am really impressed with Enchanted Polish.

Then I added two coats of Candy Lacquer Love Letters. Love Letters has a clear base packed full of different shaped glitter in shades of pink, red and silver. I really love the glitter combos that Candy Lacquer offers. I did find slight curling with the bar glitter, but other than that the polish applied well.

What do you think of this combo? Pretty drool-worthy eh?

Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqua Lily!

I am sure by now you have heard about the infamous Aqua Lily. It is part of the Fan Collection by Rescue Beauty Lounge. Aqua Lily was by far the most popular color of the collection. I wasn't able to order it because it sold out too quickly and I was away from my computer, so again I had to rely on my crappy cellphone. I was able to order the other 3 but alas, Aqua Lily eluded me. I put out a cry to my fans on Facebook, asking if anyone happened to have an extra they could sell me. A polish angel came to my rescue, and I was able to complete my Fan Collection! I am SO THANKFUL and SO HAPPY! Aqua Lily is sooooo beautiful, I absolutely love it! To those of you who missed it, Rescue Beauty recently posted that Aqua Lily will be back!! WOOHOO!!

Aqua Lily is a bright turquoise blue with a gorgeous pink shimmer. This shimmer does not get lost on the nail and is not affected by topcoat! It has a perfect formula, two coats was all I needed for full coverage. Aqua Lily just may be one of my favorite polishes of all time! Thumbs up to Rescue Beauty for creating yet another high quality, unique nail polish for us to enjoy!

Whimsical Ideas by Pam Kee Wee!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! Today I want to show you one of Pam's fabulous polishes!

So far I have only teased you with bottle shots, its finally time for a swatch! I absolutely LOVE the way Pam's bottles look. The bow is such a nice touch and the label is unique. Her glitter combos are so cool, I want them all! The first one I will show you is Kee Wee, a lime green creme packed full of green and gold glitter. Kee Wee had a great formula, the glitter is mixed well and suspended nicely in the bottle. Dry time was super fast and two coats gave me full coverage. I wore this for several days without any chips.

BTW... The BF took me to a Yankees game for my birthday, I was wearing Kee Wee for it. Not really Yankees colors, but that's what I was in the mood for LOL. The lady who was sitting next to me at the game complimented my nail polish. She really liked it, and asked what brand it was. I had an interesting time trying to explain what an indie/franken polish is haha! The Yankees may have lost that day, but Kee Wee was definitely a winner!
