Zoya Wednesday!

WOOHOO the weekend is here!! Previously I showed you Julep O Canada; now it's time to show the underpants, Zoya Wednesday! Zoya describes Wednesday as, "faded dirty medium turquoise with green undertone and an opaque cream finish. A very stylish shade with a funky yet easy to wear vintage look." I really like Wednesday, it is one of my favorites from the Zoya Beach Collection. The formula was great, this is two coats with topcoat.

Candy Lacquer Argyle!

Facebook fan Serena recently requested I swatch Candy Lacquer Argyle for her. She did not have a preference on which color I layered it over, so I went with orange. (Zoya Arizona to be exact!) Argyle has a clear base with diamond and bar glitter in black, white, and teal. The glitter is suspended nicely in the base and was easy to apply. This is two coats with topcoat. I did experience a little bit of bubbling, but everything seems to bubble on me lately! ARGH!!

Zoya Arizona!

Hi, Happy Hump Day! Today I want to show you another polish from Zoya's newest collections, Beach & Surf! This is Zoya Arizona, a medium orange creme. Zoya describes Arizona as, "softened bright citrus orange with a muted cream finish. This orange is bright but also very soft, giving it a fun, orange sherbet-like look on the nails." Arizona is your typical orange creme IMO. It has a great formula, but I needed 3 coats for full opacity. These photos are with topcoat for added shine. As usual, I will be adding some "GLITTAH" to it, so stay tuned!!

Julep O Canada!

Hi friends! It's time to show you Julep O Canada! You may have saw my Julep America post... I mentioned that there were two BONUS polishes in the July Maven boxes. Depending on where you live, you will receive either America or O Canada. I ordered both polishes separately from my Maven box, so I received them early. O Canada has a clear base with mostly opalescent small hex with scattered red hex glitter. I layered it over Zoya Wednesday, which I will show you soon! O Canada was very easy to apply, one coat is all I needed. It dries shiny and smooth. These photos are without topcoat!

Candy Lacquer Hearts in the Snow!

Remember my Dollish Polish Looking for my Mr Big post? I mentioned I would be adding some glitter to it... I really love the look of linear holos with chunky glitter over top. I thought Candy Lacquer Hearts in the Snow would compliment Looking for my Mr Big nicely. Hearts in the Snow has a clear base with blue heart and various white glitters. This mani is soft and feminine (yet playful!) and was a blast to wear! What you see here is two coats of Hearts in the Snow with topcoat.

Zoya Kimber!

In my last post I showed you Julep America, now it is time to reveal what I layered it over! This is Zoya Kimber, part of the Surf Collection. Zoya describes Kimber as, "a rich, bright and saturated medium magenta pink with strong gold metallic shimmer, and a foil-like finish. A huge hit of color and a shot of shiny gold metal make this polish look electric." Kimber reminds me of Zoya Kimmy, I wonder if they are related LOL. I had no issues with application, Kimber was just perfect! This is two coats with topcoat.

Julep America!

Today I received something really cool in the mail so I just HAD to show you! Earlier in the week I placed an order for the new Julep colors, America and O Canada. America arrived today and O Canada is on its way! America was a little on the thick side but was pretty easy to apply. I layered it over Zoya Kimber, which I will show you soon. This polish is really exciting because it has large blue hex and silver star glitter! We have seen lots of patriotic indie polishes lately, but its nice to see a big-label brand offer one as well. This is one coat of America over two coats of Zoya Kimber, followed by Gelous and topcoat.

A closer look at the star glitter!

Dollish Polish Looking for my Mr Big!

Happy weekend everyone!! I hope you are doing well. Today I am wearing Dollish Polish Looking for my Mr Big, which is a frosty lavender-pink linear holo polish. It is a very pretty shade that would flatter many skin tones. Application was a breeze, what you see here is two coats with topcoat. I will be adding some glitter to it, so stay tuned!

The Nail Junkie Banana Jelly Shimmer with Lush Lacquer Dippin Dots!

My friend Aleta from The Nail Junkie recently released her new Summer 2012 Collection. She was kind enough to send me one to review. OF COURSE I got the YELLOW POLISH, named Banana Jelly Shimmer! Thank you Aleta I love it LOL.

Banana Jelly Shimmer is exactly what it sounds like, a yellow jelly with shimmer! (Actually it has silver microglitter not shimmer.) Banana Jelly Shimmer (which I want to abbreviate to save myself the typing, but I realized it would be BJS.... Aleta did you do that on purpose?!) is super squishy and can be used for JELLY SAMMICHES!! Which is what I chose to do with my ring finger! BJS (lol) has a great application, but I needed 3 coats to achieve the look you see here. I chose to Lush Lacquer Dippin Dots for an accent nail. I think these two look really nice together! I added Dippin Dots between coat 2 and 3 of BJS.

KB Shimmer Radioactive & Shattered Heart!

Hi there! Long time no blog! LOL So sorry about that. I am FINALLY feeling better, HOORAY!!

Today I want to show you a couple of new polishes from KB Shimmer! KB Shimmer is officially one of my favorite indie brands. Her polishes are so unique and top-notch quality! The labels are professional and her customer service is stellar! KB Shimmer recently announced a new neon collection of six brightly colored glitter polishes. I purchased all but one of them. I am very happy with the ones I received. I couldn't wait to try them out! I decided to go with alternating skittles of the pink (Shattered Heart) and green (Radioactive).

Shattered Heart is much more of a fluorescent pink than my photos show. I apologize for that! Both have a great formula and applied nicely. I am pleased with the amount of glitter on the nail. I did not have to "dig" or shake the heck out of the bottle either! This is two coats of Shattered Heart and three coats of Radioactive with topcoat.

Did I mention that Radioactive GLOWS IN THE DARK????

Pretty cool, eh?

KB Shimmer Radioactive and Shattered Heart retail for $8.50 each and can be purchased from kbshimmer.com.
